Recipe: Summer Berry Lemonade

Cool off with this refreshing and simple summer berry lemonade!

Ingredients:

• 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced

• 1 cup fresh blueberries

• 1 cup fresh raspberries

• 1 cup lemon juice (about 4-5 lemons)

• 1 cup sugar

• 5 cups water

• Ice cubes

• Fresh mint leaves for garnish

Instructions:

1. In a saucepan, combine the berries, sugar, and 1 cup of water. Bring to a boil and simmer until the berries are soft and the sugar is dissolved.

2. Let the berry mixture cool, then strain it through a fine mesh sieve into a pitcher.

3. Add the lemon juice and remaining water to the pitcher and stir well.

4. Serve over ice and garnish with fresh mint leaves. Enjoy your refreshing summer berry lemonade!

Centering Exercise

Create a sense of calm and presence with this simple centering exercise that pairs beautifully with the soft glow of your WDM candle. Practice this exercise either indoors or outdoors, but remember, Burn Responsibly <3

Steps:

1. Find a quiet space and light your favorite WDM candle. Sit comfortably with your feet flat on the ground.

2. Take a few deep breaths, inhaling through your nose and exhaling through your mouth.

3. Focus on the sensation of your feet touching the ground. Feel the connection to the earth and the support it provides.

4. Slowly scan your body from your toes to your head, noticing any areas of tension. With each exhale, imagine releasing that tension.

5. As you breathe, bring your attention to the flame of the candle. Observe its movement and let its gentle flicker calm your mind.

6. Spend 5-10 minutes in this grounding practice, allowing yourself to fully relax and connect with the present moment.

7. When you’re ready, slowly bring your awareness back to the room. Take a few more deep breaths before gently extinguishing the candle.

“alpine meadows” - A Colorado alpine meadow is nestled among towering snow-capped mountains and evergreen pines. A crystal-clear stream winds through the meadow where it’s carpeted with colorful and scent-filled wildflowers, from bright yellow buttercups to delicate purple lupines.

“blue bonnet” - inspired by the Texas State Flower. Imagine low hills blanketed with vibrant bluebonnets, their deep blue petals swaying gently in the breeze. The sky above is a clear, brilliant blue with a few fluffy white clouds drifting lazily by.

“gingham” - Envision a farm, out in wide, open spaces where an old clothesline holds sun-saturated red and white gingham linens. The sunlight dances on the fabric as a gentle breeze sweeps its way through the folds, casting the crisp, clean scent through the air.

“ocean shore” - Seashells and pebbles dot the shoreline, glistening in the gathering light of morning. The air is filled with the salty scent of the sea and the sound of seagulls are calling in the distance. Gentle waves lap against the sandy beach, leaving behind a trail of shimmering foam.
