Creating a YouTube channel has been a long-time dream of mine. To continue my platform in sharing all my passions, YouTube is a perfect outlet for to give you a look into my day-to-day life, offer cooking and baking tutorials for some of my favorite recipes, and share with you the things that inspire me most.
Last night, I launched my first YouTube baking tutorial - homemade biscotti cookies!

Recipe for Blair's Full Life Biscotti Cookies:
Yields: 20 cookies
1 Stick Softened Butter (at room temperature)
3/4 Cup White Sugar
3 tsp Vanilla Extract
2 Cups All Purpose Flour
1 tsp Baking Powder
3/4 tsp Salt
1 tsp Cinnamon
1/4 tsp Nutmeg
1 Cup Confectioners Sugar
1-2 Dashes Cinnamon
5 or 6 tsp water
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Combine butter and sugar and cream together with a stand or handheld mixer for 1-2 minutes. Add vanilla and eggs and mix for another couple minutes. With a sifter or sieve, combine flour, baking powder and salt and sift onto wet ingredients. Gently stir and fold to combine. Sprinkle in cinnamon and nutmeg and stir in.
Dump out onto floured parchment paper. Lightly flour the top of the dough and separate it into two pieces. Roll out each piece to for a rectangle about 1/2 inch thick.
Transfer parchment paper and dough to your baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes, or until golden brown.
Remove from oven, drop temperature to 280 degrees and place the cookie bases onto a cooling rack for ten minutes.
With a bread knife, gently score and cut your cookies into long, thin pieces about an inch wide. Rotate cookie to their sides and bake for 10 minutes, remove from oven, turn cookies to the other side and bake another 10 minutes.
During the final baking period, combine confectioners sugar, cinnamon and water, adding one teaspoon at a time until you get a 'drizzle' consistency. Take cookies out of the oven and let cool COMPLETELY before you glaze.
Once ready for glazing, drizzle biscotti cookies as much or as little as you want with the glaze. Let sit for about an hour before packing into gift bags, or serving!
